Beaded Gardens with Bella MacIsaac
3 Day Workshop

In this three day workshop, I will take you through the foundational stages of creating one of my beaded textile collage pieces.
We will start with a focus on composition - building a garden out of vintage fabrics and hand drawn elements to form the basis of our work. I’ll teach you how to create a balanced and cohesive foundation, before we move on to stitching and beading.
We’ll decide together on a few key pieces of your garden to bead, and I will teach you all of the techniques I use in my work to create detailed, textural and dynamic pieces.
All materials are provided - vintage and found fabrics, hand painted linens, thread, wool and beads galore. Feel free to bring any special bits you have in your stash, but don’t feel obligated… there will be an abundance of goodies to choose from.
This is a large project that will not be completed in our time together, but you will come away with the skills and the materials to finish your project at home.
Lunch is provided daily, as well as tea, coffee and snacks.
