During the our time together, I'll help you to create a composition that compliments your item and teach you all of the steps I take when appliquéing using Liberty fabric.
You bring the item you'd like to embellish, and I will supply everything else with plenty to take home to complete your project.
My tips for selecting an item to embellish:
Denim, linen or canvas (ie - a canvas tote) would be a great base for this project. A cotton t-shirt would also be suitable, but try to avoid anything with too much stretch.
Given the dark background of the print, you'll probably find it easier to use a dark navy (similar to the colour of my jeans) or black item, but any colour will be workable.
If you're a total beginner, a flat item (such as a t-shirt or tote) or a button up (a shirt or jacket) might be a good starting point. Jeans can get a little fiddly as you move up the pant leg or around the pockets.
